Relief stamping is a method of creating an embossed, convex image on a label by applying pressure to the material through a prepared cliche (daddy-mom)."Embossing can be -dry (without foil) -with foil. Relief stamping looks especially advantageous on wine and hybrid materials containing aluminium foil.
Bling (reverse embossing) is a method that allows a clear, in-depth image to be created. A special printing plate (blint) is pressed into the surface of the material, leaving a detailed impression of the stamp pattern. The blint resembles a metal or plastic stamp with printing elements of the same height, forming recesses which lie in one plane. The depth of the image is adjusted by the press.
Hot stamping is an off-line method of applying foil to a sealed pre-label. Often used for production on wine, spirits and perfume and cosmetics labels. Suitable for application on uncoated and textured paper. Advantages: - Lays on any material - Volumetricity of the image - Ability to emboss fine, clean lines - Saves materials when embossing small objects
Cold embossing is a modern way of making the label, and therefore the product, as attractive as possible in order to draw attention to the product. What are the technological features? - With cold embossing we have the possibility of creating a metallised (solid or random) surface on coated films and materials. It is especially effective on transparent materials. - Print over foil with UV inks to create metallised surface effects. - Create a matt and glossy metallised surface on the same label.
Laminating is a way of treating products after they have been printed. It can be single-sided or double-sided, cold or hot. The protective film is made from polyester, polypropylene and PVC. It may be fully transparent, coloured, glossy or matt. What does lamination give: - makes products more colourful and improves their appearance; - protects the paper document from moisture, sun and temperatures; - prevents deformation; increases strength and durability.
Varnishing is a modern way of finishing and protecting finished products. UV lacquering comes in different versions: - glossy - it has a mirror-like shine and smoothness. Intended for a more striking label design - matt - does not shine or reflect. Gives the label an expensive and modern look.
